Daybook, 1777-1782, of merchant Neil Jamieson, a resident of New York City and agent of the Glasgow firm of Glassford, Gordon, Monteath & Co. Includes daily accounts and memoranda pertaining to transactions in New York and trade with the West Indies. Included are numerous accounts with the firm of Fowler & Tremaine and a lengthy invoice listing mechandise shipped to Jamieson by G.G.M. & Co. on board the "Catherine" in February of 1777. Other vessels employed for trading ventures include the brigantines "Molly," "Dolly," "Cato," " Polly," and "Elizabeth."
